Team Update 9/4/04

The last night of NASCAR Weekly racing was an up and down affair for Ron and the RKR Motorsports team. A second place finish in the second heat, had the whole team pumped for the first of two 35 lap features on the card for the evening. When the Restoration Masters Grand Prix completed only one lap of the first feature and retired to the pits with mechanical problems, the rest of Ron's evening looked to be going south. The team went to work changing the clutch and transmission in time to get Ron back out to the starting grid for the second feature. Starting next to last, Ron took home 3rd place, and 3rd overall in the chanpionship points battle.

After all that, and a late night at the shop preparing the car for CASCAR Super Series qualifing, Ron put up a solid 19.707 sec. lap to secure a 9th place starting spot for Sundays Great Canadian 300. We will update you all Sunday night, to let you know the out come.
